I think it was only the 2nd or 3rd time I have ever reported anything by the way
I have never reported anything in quite a few years on here, not to say I have not thought about it mind. The fact you defend your reporting by saying 'it wasn't the first time' is quite revealing. Did you carry an apple to school?

Two pence worth:
The mods are pretty good on here, which is why it's a pretty good forum.

People shouldn't be ridiculed by mods in this way, what may appear as a 'gentle joke' to them, may be devastating to someone with autism for instance. The mods may assume the guy is a cock, and maybe they are right, but if you don't know someone then you don't know, right? Then they'd be the one who's a cock...

Alienating strangers in this way will probably be ok 9 times out of 10, but eventually you're gonna come a cropper.

Brilliant post - not just for mods but for everyone. And we ve all prob been guilty of this at some point or other for sure...

Ahhh my resident stalker!!

For the record I have no problem with you,
I just think you are a shit poster who contributes **** all to the forum apart from trying to cause binfests.
Harping on about your boring actor work (Actor!! FFS! )
And everything I read from you always makes me think.............that village really must be missing him.........
Over to you :) x

No you're alright thanks, you just pretty much summed yourself up. Sterling post from a moderator though, good work.

The context in which I reported the post was unique, it was nothing to do with me personally but something that could have damaged NSC I thought it was the right thing to do.
It's what we are told to do is it not. As for your suggestion that I am a teachers pet........**** you! Report that!

It's fine never reporting anything a long as people don't moan that things / issues are never dealt with, we do rely on people reporting stuff, not just spam but any form of abuse or possible libel, pretty much anything that may be considered inappropriate.

This is an extremely busy forum and as such there is hell of alot of content on a daily basis.

Correct.

As I said, 'thought about it', not done it yet.

I think I have been on the receiving end of at least one infraction from you, and to be fair (with hindsight) you were correct. #toxxer

2 one in 2011 and one in 2013 both issued by me, so I accept the lack of love coming my way! :( (they have expired now so you are infraction free!! :) )

As a mod ... my view is that I often have other things to do with my time than read every thread on NSC, As for the specific suggestion that I should (or might) have done something about whatever it was that got the original poster agitated ... all I can say is that, without reading the whole of this thread (and I haven't), I've not got a clue what he's talking about. And he didn't send me a private message, so I wasn't personally prompted to do anything whatsoever.

Carry on.

I started it because a MOD thought it was ok to change my thread title for no reason other than he was bored with similar threads appearing and basically it made me out to be a 'look at me' and had others making fun at my expense which I took offence to as I felt it went too far.

The MOD has since apologised and hitony has given me some sound advice as I was getting a little agitated at what I believe was some very rude and personal attacks which I feel were out of order, especially as I posted in good faith.

All sorted at my end now and have chilled out!!

Is there any other messageboard that has a 'moderating decisions' forum, or similar? I added in to try and be as transparent as possible. I was fed up with moderating actions on other boards I use where moderators were not accountable at all. 'Moderating decisions' was intended to stop NSC going the same way.

If someone is outright banned or suspended, then it should be posted in there. Sometimes it may get missed, I imagine, but not for nefarious reasons.

Often people receive the equivalent of some time on the naughty step, typically when they have received several warnings in a short timeframe. This is handled automatically by the board software, which removes the human "should I/shouldn't I stop him posting?" element. These are not usually disclosed publicly, due to the way they occur, and they are generally only for 3 days.

Hi Bozza, can you tell me what your thoughts are with my case then?

I made a thread in good faith and a MOD (Hans) changed my words just because he was fed up similar threads appearing and decided I was a 'look at me'. I tried explaining that I missed the other threads and felt I was asking a totally different question.

All in all, I did not say something libellous or swear, or make a threat to anyone. I basically had the piss taken out of me because of it and had a lot of others 'attacking' me which I think was unfair.

Ps. Hitony has been very helpful though! (See earlier posts)

Calm down. Not only did you report it, you made sure that you put in BOLD letters on the board...."the post must be removed", judge and jury eh, yep.

Martyn20 - you were quite rude to me yesterday, a number of times actually.

Someone even said that it could be a 'look at me' which would be ironic I think!

At least I now know it is just the way you are as opposed to something I did!
