Spurs could play some home games at Amex for a season....

I think this is great idea - certainly a great FFP booster, and I assume albion would get their normal cut of pie sales.

Would without doubt increase our playing budget that season.

If they pay a decent amount - then why not ? Extra bit of cash for the local area too.

Of course, Albion games would take priority though. Ipswich wouldnt happen due to the distance.

Could be a nice little earner , Paul Barber to be the lynchpin in negotiations ?

Although the doom mongers would now see this as a good thing or bad? Personally I think PB does a good job and this would be yet another opportunity for him to prove so.

Utter, utter contempt for their fans if they go outside of London. Wembley is the obvious option, as it's only about 12 miles away and has no club tenant. The Olympic Stadium, if open in time, could clearly use the extra income to avoid being such a burden on the public purse, and is even nearer to Tottenham. Failing that, why not approach the RFU and see if Twickenham is available?

I suppose Arsenal would be unwilling to share the Emirates for a year because the Spurs fans would take their seats home after every game!

Do you hold the same contempt for our fans that went to Gillingham ?

Spurs were talking about going "on tour" while White Hart Lane was being redeveloped a few months ago with the big games being played at wembley and games like Spurs vs Swansea being played at places like MK Dons ground. Im sure it would be cheaper to rent the Amex than it would be to rent Wembley for a game.

And if anyone is worried about the state of the pitch then we need to get Gibraltar's grounds man in to look after the pitch. They managed to play over 270 games between 1st October 2013 and 29th April 2014 on the same pitch, some days there were 3 games a day. Every club uses the national stadium to play their games http://gfa.gibraltarfa.com/senior-fixtures.html

Why would you have contempt for the fans? I very much doubt they'll have say in where they'd be playing.

You are both mis-reading his post. He is saying that TOTTENHAM will be showing contempt for thier fans if they chose to play outside London.

Would money generated from a groundshare count for FFP purposes? If it provides a tidy boost to the budget I'd be fine with it happening for a year.

Ipswich may well be closer and easier to get to for vast majority of Spurs fans

Spurs v FC Luzern, and v Osters IF were indeed played @ the Goldstone in June/July 1995.

If we offered Spurs some sort of consideration, maybe this would cut both ways and we could get some almost Premier footballers on loan ?
