I've been working on an Albion stats database thing in my spare time. Would you be interested in having that as a part of the site? I'm mainly doing it as a bit of fun but also as part of my career progression.

Very much so, yes.

Ooh - what sort of stuff does it include?

Excellent! I'll PM you once I've got a completed database.

It's currently only going to have data from this coming season but I do have plans to get some historical data and get that in there as well. It has the usual stuff: fixtures, attendances, match ratings (from the Argus), cards, goals, appearances etc etc.

I'm hoping to put together a swanky thing with graphs and stuff like that to display the data that a user has requested.

I'm definitely open to suggestions for additions and datasets as well.

Yes please!
The TOP 20 Rated Contents in latest 7 days shows if there were a lot of thumbs for one post, it doesn't really show the whole picture of who's posting well generally i.e who has the most and least thumbs overall. I've yet to sue you for losing all the previous stats too. Anyone a solicitor on here?
Also, is there a way of finding out who's thumbed you up or down the most, too?
Scoring. Stats. It's the way forward.

I'd like to be able to type, then press Tab, then enter, to submit a post.

A link to any decent GILF sites would be a bonus. I need my daily naked fix of Doris from Skelmersdale and Iris from Chelmsford. Other than that a Whizzer and Chips archive would be seriously peachy. Best. Comic. Ever.

Logistically I don't know how it would work. But I like the idea of some form of daily/weekly summary.

With things like who's the next manager or who are we signing. I don't want to read 100 pages of the "Michael Owen" thread to see if he might sign or not.

The former is very easy to get up and running, but it will take effort to get it populated and make it worthwhile.

Genuinely curious: what would be the benefit of having our own wiki, as opposed to adding to Wikipedia?

Some kind of 'in the know' rating that can be adjusted when someone starts a rumour that turns out to be true / false.

I like the thumbs thing. It encourages good posting. Can there be more stats around it?

+1

I think there should be a prize at the end of the year with most thumbs up for their posts and the bottom 4 or 5 should be banned from the site for a period of time.
