European elections - this Thursday. Will you be voting?

For the first time I feel ready to vote Liberal, sadly I can't find a truly Liberal Party right now so no vote for me this time

Sadly a large part of his current success/support is due to the lack of alternatives. I am not convinced that voting for 'one of the others' just to make a point about UKIP is the right way to go

It should be an option. At least then those who feel disenfranchised can be counted rather than ignored.

I shall however will be voting.

Always been of the belief that if you don't vote you don't get to moan about the outcome of the elections.

Whoever you vote for the government gets in.

Yes, I'll be voting - I've voted in every election since I was old enough to do so except the Police Commissioners ( which I didn't agree with ).

Quite. I'm a natural liberal democrat voter, but won't vote for a party headed by the pathetic Nick Clegg. I have no respect for him as he has the gravitas of a schoolboy. Anyone who lets Farage own him on a televised political debate is clearly not sufficiently capable to be a leader of a mainstream political party.

I work as a Presiding Officer in voting station in Eastbourne. Over the years it is amazing to see the trends in numbers depending on what type of election it is. Normally European elections have a fairly low turn out. I think this year will see an increase on normal. UKIP is a party that splits people in a way that the other main 3 do not. As a result I think we will see more people heading out to vote.

I will be voting, and am among these who value the opportunity to do so and almost see it as a duty.

My daughter will be in charge of a polling station in one of the poorer parts of Newport, South Wales. She expects a very, very low turnout in that particular neck of the woods.

Unfortunately this went down the pan when the "great" British public decided to back first past the post in the alternative vote referendum. We had a chance to update our laughing stock of a voting system but the idiots ruined it.

Except the European elections are the only ones where the people elected ARE decided by Proportional Representation

I want to stay in Europe but as a trading partner not to be governed as that's what I voted for the first time around. I won't say who I am voting for but you should be able to work that one out. I think we should remember many people around the world would love to have the right to vote. please use your vote because if you waste it don't moan about the way you are governed.
