I agree our fans deserve some credit - we were better than we have been all season.

North was ok, no more. Derby were nothing till their penalty.

Absurd comment. They were singing very loudly for most of the game. Decent bunch of fans too, supporting their team with real passion, and no hint of trouble.

As usual, people in the North Stand get an exaggerated impression of their own noise while hearing very little of their opponents'.

You couldn't be more wrong! SWC for me, Derby were OK, nothing more, were you wearing Derby tinted spectacles?

I thought they were quality. Sung well and were decent chaps. Spoke to quite a few and they were just pleased to be here. The ones I spoke to said that if they did go up, they'd miss the championship. I know what they mean.

The Derby fans in the coach park certainly weren't 'decent chaps'. Understand them singing as they had won, but not winding up the home fans. Will take great joy going on their forum if they don't make it and saying, "0ne-nil, and you f***ed it up!"

I like Derby, but they were silent when we led. But McLaren and previously Clough have given them a lot to shout about - a great youth and scouting system reaping dividends on the pitch, a stack of goals, a team that has beaten eg wannabes Albion 3 times in one season, they have risen well above arch rivals Forest without cheating on FFP like their rivals, and a feeling of moving on upwards.

They were decent enough. Jumped around a bit which seemed to impress everyone for some reason. They were quiet for periods as well though it was not a constant barrage of noise.
As for the North loud opening 20 mins and loud in spells afterwards. There fans seem to think there was a
Decent shift put in by us in regards to noise.
Looking forward to Sunday as well.

The Derby fans cheered their luck and an own goal as if they'd achieved something, but they were far to smug, because they haven't done anything yet. Reminds me of last year's second leg...

Only consolation is that they have to go home and live in the dump which is Derby, so I suppose we shouldn't begrudge them a day off.

That was my line after the game. The equivalent of the infamous quote: "I may be drunk, but in the morning I will be sober but you will still be ugly.."

Both sets of fans made good noise - did those watching on TV think so?

Still looking forward to a good day out Sunday, win or lose.

After the game the Derby fans we the absolute worst I've seen this season at the Amex. Every club has a few scumbags (except Millwall - they have just a few non-scumbags) but the number of derby fans throwing homophobic abuse and general hatred at us was extreme.

Always considered them as just another normal small town club - Reasonable sized, passionate following, true football fans you could have a drink with before/after a match.
Last night's display made me reassess that. Now in the same bracket for me as Millwall & Palace. Bunch of Neanderthal low life's out for a fight.

Had said I would support them in the final I they got through, but f*ck em, if they beat us on Sunday I'd rather support Wigan or TaxDodge Harry's lot than those scumbags.

Every club has idiots.

As for the goading. Some that do it are idiots but most are just on a wind up. I'd expect the same off you on Sunday if you beat us. Nothing in it. I myself will be 'giving it the big 'un' on Sunday. No malice though. It's what it's about for the boys and girls that go for the vocal stuff.

Most of us have never been arrogant about any tie. We're to well rehearsed in being either shite or bog standard nobodies for that. Just a great feeling in Derby. We've been on the rise since Steve McClaren came in and we're riding the crest of a wave. We know what it's like to be fed up. Wish we could forget our lovely 11pts Premiership campaign. God, I wish I could forget!
