Childish and stupid. Meanwhile Barnes scores a goal today to fire Burnley into the Premier League.

Yawnnnn.....and he will be out on loan to a mid table Championship team in double quick time.

I agree, the players clearly do not "get it"

And thats my whole point. Get a ****ing manager who will pick tactics and set up a team to SUIT HIS PLAYERS.

Look at the team we had out today. Set up correctly, those players would piss all over Burnley week in week out. But under Garica we struggle to beat the lower sides and seemingly seem happy with a point against teams in free fall.

Swap all the players we have for slightly better players if you like. But Keep Garica and his tactics and the way he sets up the team, and results and performances will remain the same.

I know we have no right to win every week and go up. But FFS at least lets play to our players strengths and give it a good go!

Yeah, lets get in Allardyce!

Really. So when we came out in the second half, did you notice we set up a lot more attacking. Buckley Wide, LUaLua wide, Ulloa with Lingard right behind him.

We scored and straight away Oscar spent 30 seconds getting Buckleys attention on the far side of the pitch, and it all went narrow and back to the first half tactics again. Yet when Blackpool scored five minutes later, we never reverted to the attacking set up again.

Garica's tactics do not belong in the championship. They do not belong with a squad of our capabilities.

Why do you think we are incapable of beating the bottom sides?

It can't keep being the players fault game after game.

If he was doing all in his power to win it, why take Lingard off and put Dave on with 5 minutes to go??? That move was hardly going to increase the tempo or attacking flow was it!!!

People put our boring lack of intent performanced down to the injury crisis earlier in the season. We now have probably one of the fittest squads available in the championship at the moment, yet nothings changed?

Players or managers fault?

Taking off Lingaard was good, he'd had almost all game to show something and yes while he can run with the ball, he rarely does anything with it apart from give it back to the opposition. Keeping him through the middle when CMS came on, christ. And yeah bringing on Lopez, ok I wasn't excited but you never know he could score, but what happens? He ends up spending his very short time on the pitch infront of the back four and Andrews, who has been shite all game goes up ahead of him.

Bruno, Buckley, Lingard even Lualua to a certain extent. All lightweight flat track bullies, who you don't really want in your corner when the chips are down. I'd have Cms and Calderon over Bruno and Lingard for the last two games, just for their desire and will to win and fight for the cause. Sometimes that's as much as you need at this stage of the season.

So what does that tell you?

Bear in mind this is not a one off game this happened in, its been like it all season? So what does that tell you?

That we do not have enough quality players to be anywhere further up the league than we are. Garcia is working with what we have got I don't see how he can be held accountable for players inability to (once in a wide position) pick one or our players out in the box or take a corner without it flying straight over everyone or failing to score
when teed up on the edge of the box.

The goods news is he has had a full season to see where we need to improve and this summers window will allow him to do that

Bruno has been much better the last few games. He's gotten his head down and just concentrated on the football and most of his histrionics have disappeared.

So as I say, why take of Lingard for Spanish?

So why didn't they bust a gut to replace them, makes you wonder. Think are reliance is going to be on the Development team bringing players on

Impossible to replace El Abd, should never have gotten rid of him looking at some of the dodgy games Upson has had since his departure.

most ex-premiership/future premiership players and you don't think they are good enough??

Really, how do you honestly think we can improve on that over the summer taking into account FFP????

So I take it week in week out, you blame the players and not Garica??

Mmmm. Interesting.

Don't bank on it, there won't be much money to spend, so freebies, loans etc,etc
Too true. I think those who have blamed injuries, are the same who suddenly think we are going to rebuild the over the summer with a better set of players! This is as good as it gets in my opinion for the next couple of years. And its good enough, if we get a manager who puts round pegs in round holes!

They are not in the premier league for a reason as they (like us) are not consistent enough to play for a top division side. Let's see how many of those you have listed are on premier league target lists this summer. We are not the only club facing FFP and money does not necessarily guarantee promotion. We will always rely on the loan market at this level as we have so far in the championship

No I don't blame the players every week and I was not happy with Garcia all those weeks ago when he set us up negatively but in the last few games Garcia has set us up positively and the players have failed to deliver.

I don't feel Garcia is beyond criticism but did not do much wrong with how he set us up today

IMO all Brighton are really missing is a strong midfield player who links the defence with the attack. Vicente was obviously the best at that, Bridcutt was good enough, Ince almost but not quite yet, Agustein who knows (presumably not?), Crofts injured. Then what?

For me it's quite simple and not that hard to work out why we struggle on occasions and look decidedly average.

We quite simply have too many light weight players in the team, too many little boys in midfield that are great at running with the ball, doing a trick or two or running the channels but just simply cant mix it up, which leaves us with very little steal and grit which is very much needed. I wasn't Ashley Barnes biggest fan but boy could the boy work, he gave us grit, he battled to the very end and that's missing terribly from the team. We've lost our leaders in Bridcutt and Crofts and even though Stephens is improving him and Andrews are not on the same level. Where's the player to drag us on or pick us up when things are going wrong, for me there simply isn't one and that's why we look out of balance in midfield.

We have to face facts that we are are one of 5-6 average teams fighting to nick that last playoff spot, lets just hope we get it and again teams do us a favor. All said and done I think Garcia has done well with what he's had to work with but this team needs investment in the summer whatever division we are in.
100% agree mate. To add, we have no squad depth whatsoever. When Ulloa looks tired/disinterested we are basically relying on a rare goal from midfield as our set pieces are, on the whole, horrendous. I still wonder how many of the players are actually that interested in getting promotion as it's clear a large amount of the players are simply not good enough.
