When you put it like that, maybe a win is the best result then, but anything but a Ipswich win. Derby and QPR all but have play-offs places sealed too, so the games should be a bit easier for Watford.

Maybe Derby and QPR will want 3rd spot so fight on, 4th could mean a semi against Wigan..........perhaps.

It does seem like a very English battle for sixth place. ''After you'', ''No, after you, I insist''...

I'm just hoping that Brighton say "Ok, thanks very much, most kind..."

Until every team has played 46 games, we do not know which results were the 'right' ones for us unfortunately.
Sure we do. We know that Sheffield beating Bournemouth was the right result for us. We know Wigan beating Reading was the right result for us. And we know that Ipswich beating Watford would be the wrong result.

Derby and QPR all but have play-offs places sealed too, so the games should be a bit easier for Watford.
Indeed, they'll be easier, but hopefully still not easy. Teams want to go into the playoffs with a bit of confidence.

Watford now 5 points behind us with a game in hand vs Charlton and have a much better GD than us.

We could do with Ipswich equalising and it remaining a draw really.

Have to disagree. Watford win is best. Draw good, but 2nd best IMHO (that would mean Ipswich on same points, no need to win game in hand!) Ipswich win = disaster.

Nah. If Watford win this, they'll have played 42, and have 60 points. Ipswich have currently played 42, and have 64 points. Watford win please. Watford have QPR, Derby and Charlton away, and have to win all remaining games to finish 6th.

Spot on Trigg.

Yes, but we know which ones are best, based on the current state of play. In this one, a Watford win is best. Draw 2nd best. Ipswich win would be an awful result for us.

It's honestly like no one wants it. I've got a very nice Reading fan I chat to on twitter, rational guy normally, and his feed yesterday was all 'that's it! season over! time to rebuild.' We were saying the very same thing ourselves after Middlesboro. It should need a side to win all three of their last games but I honestly can't see it even taking that to claim sixth. It's lottery time.

Ipswich still have Burnley and Bmuff, so l'd like a draw against Watford

I think you need to rethink! Take another look at the relative league table positions and remaining fixtures of Ipswich and Watford. A Watford win has to be best. Granted a draw would be a good 2nd prize. An Ipswich win would be the worst result for us by a long way.
