1901 revisited

- I live in central London and don't have a car, will not be using car space. -
A vast majority use public transport anyway

- I'm not overly fussed about having a overpriced mediocre meal before or during match. Happy with a pie and pint. -
Not many take up this extra option either.

- I like the idea of the lounge and no queue (I usually frequent dicks) although I don't like the dress code. -
No trainers, jeans fine. Usually have a coat over whatever I have on underneath. Not that bad?

seats would be better that's a plus -
The view is outstanding. Armrests are useless.

Am I missing anything here ? Is there any other big selling points ?

- programme
- tea and coffee
- less queuing
- half time pre ordering
- ex player lounge host
- somewhere warm to sit at half time and pre/post match

These things are worth the extra money to some but not to most. It's definitely not as prawn sandwich as some believe though. Proper fans with the odd "guest". Hope this helps

Pretty sure the under 21 game was not included. Can't see why else I would elected to sit in the East Stand. And not sure friendlies are included either?

Pretty sure the deal is all Brighton 1st team games are included except testimonials. Guaranteed option to purchase tickets for all (stadium) events at the Amex.

Interesting. The club specifically told me that both were. I only took up my seat at the start of this season, so can't speak from personal experience yet, but I'm planning to go to the re-arranged U21 game, so I guess we'll see.

Sounds like you are considering buying something that you think is a waste of money and isn't for you.

I think, therefore, you have your answer.

Personally I like it and value my tickets.

I wonder if anyone has ever suggested to barber and co the train queue skip option. For myself if I could guarantee a train to get on it could save me 45 minutes commute time going home.... I guess that is impossible as it's out of the clubs control....

I think the club should try this for entertainment value, because I guarantee that it would last a week before the 1901ers got fed up with the beer and spit raining down on their cashmere coats as they waltz past to hop onto the train that others are queuing patiently for.

Any Brighton U21 ( dev squad ) matches may well be included.

England U21 v Austria last year probably wasn't.

But don't expect this guarantee to hold for the Rugby World Cup in 2015...

Just for events organised by the football club.

People keep saying how having somewhere warm to go is a big advantage but it's always bloomin' hot in the West Upper concourse, are others not the same?

ESL (South end) is bloody cold, especially so during evening games when the wind is a'gusting.

Yes, WSU is perfectly warm enough in the concourse.

WSU is nice and warm. Having been in North stand concourse a couple of times that bloody cold when the wind goes through.

Yep that's correct. Sorry I thought Golstone1976 meant the England one. The Development games may well be included.

Rugby WC tickets have already been discussed, in the hospitailty seats they are talking hundreds of pounds per ticket, and will be made available for sale to 1901 members if they want them. As for general sale, the club will have an allocation of general sale tickets, whether these are offered to 1901 members first or not I don't know, but the 1901 terms and conditions clearly states priority for tickets for all events in the stadium.

Yes, the WSM tickets will be the same hospitality ones which are available to all. The club are probably able to book them before the first general sale date and will I imagine do this for any 1901 who expresses an interest. Getting your usual seat may not be possible as this may be taken already by the Rugby federations.

I suspect any general tickets the club will get will be offered to 1901 first. It depends how large this allocation is, as to whether a ticket is 'guaranteed'.

The West Lower concourse after is freezing. That and the fact that in the lounges there is carpet and often seats means it is far far more comfortable than simply standing around in a bland concrete bunker

Doubt it our fans are not animals. Perhaps a separate entrance?

Not sure it could work in practice as it would be as easy as pie to forge a 1901 season ticket so there would have to be more scan facilities.
