Trust me, Bushy. I don't say that without a bit of frustration myself. I know a few older fans understand how the FA cup use to be, but unfortunately how football culture in some sense has developed over the past decade, it's to be expected.

I have to give credit to the SWC lot though, looks like in a season's time that corner could be rocking. But it's going to take a while and a change in legislation to get the atmospheres of yesteryear. Hopefully a review into safestanding will happen, chanting and creating an atmosphere from a seated position is a lot different from standing in the away end.

Really ?? I had a mate , early 80s , ppf knew him as well , who used to sing , ' we'll never be mastered, by no reading *******s, ' all the time, proper Oxford utd fan as well .

Take it from me, my best mate was in the South Midland Hit Squad. Swindon Town are Oxford's historic rivals.

And take it from me, Oxford hate Reading as well. And Reading feel the same towards Oxford and Swindon. It's the trains, you can get to away games in 40 minutes and each team used to turn up mob handed. With those 3 it's pointless to ask which is the 'bigger' rival as some RFC hate Oxford more than Swindon and some Swindon more than OFC, some OFC hate RFC and some hate STFC. Pick 5 fans from each club and you'll get 3 differrent answers from each group.

Spires is probably right . It's all in the age , certain eras have different rivals . Take us for instance , the older ones see millwall as our rivals , middle age ( me included ) see the weed as our rivals , mid twentys probably see the clowns as rivals and now with the late teens it's you lot again . So you can have different rivals and if only you weren't shit for so many years and played us more of us would have hated you .
