Up until the moment he got injured it was Kazenga by a LONG way. So bearing in mind he's only missed four matches so far, I'd say it still is him.

He has missed 6 matches. He has played 585 minutes out of 1586. (Not saying this means he can't be player of the season)

Upson and Crofts for me have been the stand outs. Hard to pick beyond those two although Ward has been pretty consistent.

Is Bruno our David Luiz? He’s accomplished in possession, scintillating going forward, but is a liability in defence when he bothers to defend at all.

Pole in goal by country mile. Most Consistent performer. Followed by upson.

Hope bridcutt can get back to his best, influence our season and make 3 p.o.s awards in row. Will need to negotiate january first though

The PIG's such a plus in our side. Don't think Upson has played that well, Crofty average, Ward so slow and GG never gets the credit he deserves.

What I find interesting is at this point last season individually our players seemed to be performing better than what we've seen so far this year.

Bridge, Bridcutt and - to a lesser extent, Buckley and Bruno, were all playing pretty well. I don't think anyone has got close to that standard consistently this year. Hopefully that bodes well for the rest of the season if our players start performing better (and Bridcutt comes back!)

Maybe it's my memory playing tricks on me, though. @Acker79 , do you have player rating stats from this time last year?

Well I wasn't far wrong! I actually had CMS in my original post but took him out!

Interesting, thank you.

Crofts for me, just ahead of Barnes and Ward. KLL and Ulloa would be up there too, if they'd played enough games. A but surprised to see Kuszczak mentioned as he's done OK without being brilliant (Sat aside) and very surprised to see Upson up there, thought he'd had a few dodgy moments.

Love the way that there's such a diverse spread of opinion

Kaz for me, thought he was excellent in the games he's played - hope the injury doesn't affect his form and he can continue from where he left off. Oscar certainly seems to be more willing to pick him than Gus - could never understand why Poyet seemed so reluctant to use him.

Gus had the luxury of a mostly fit squad. There were complaints earlier this season because Oscar wasn't picking him for every game - for the same reason gus didn't, lualua has issues with his knee, making playing him in every game counterproductive in the long run. Because of injuries, Oscar didn't have many options and played lualua more frequently than I suspect he otherwise would. And now lualua is out injured.

Spot on.
