Seem to remember a lot of fans at the begining of GP s tenure were moaning at the passing at the back and tip tappy football...
And throughout his reign, no matter how much success it bought us.

Anyone missing the first two months passing of Poyets reign? It's October, and Oscar's got a squad full of injured players.
No, I'm not missing it yet as it's new, and so far it's hit and miss.
Saying that, we should have had 5 by half time last night, and then it all went pear shaped when our defenders ****ed up once. Then Olloa got injured and the shape went. Then we had to reply on Kemy who is fast becoming fairly useless, lets hope he gets his injury out of the way and stop trying to go through three players.
How could we have had 5 by half time when we only had 4 shots on target throughout the game? That's the most worrying thing for me with this team. Ipswich - 0 shots on target
Bolton - 2 shots on target
QPR - 1 shot on target
How could we have had 5 by half time when we only had 4 shots on target throughout the game?
Also, (prepare for a geeky statement) the statement doesn't work based on the basic principle of how we influence time.
If we scored the first chance then we would have gone back for a kick off and the path of events is altered. Chances 2,3,4 and 5 would not happen. We may create more, we may have created less. But ultimately you cant say "if we'd taken those 2 chances' as that would be impossible.
I'm cool.
It was too inflexible at times but at least we had a defined style and approach.
I also suspect quite a few people in our squad were more comfortable with the slower approach than the quicker, one-touch style Oscar wants us to play. Mainly, I imagine, because they are not good enough to be playing that higher tempo.
Dave 1 on 1
Olla 1 on 1
Crofts shot when he fluffed it.
KLL dive when he had time to ping it hard and fast across the 6 yard line
There was another but I can't remember. 4 then.
2nd half then,
Barnes missed a sitter
Andrews just past the post
Plenty of chances.
As you have rightly pointed out we had chances but as you saw, chances don't mean goals.
We are in that same transistion phase now and I find it as frustrating as the next person when we appear to have taken several steps back but we do need a bit of patience (something rare in this day). If we are in the bottom 3 at Xmas I will be ranting as much as the next man but I dont think it will happen so for now I will forget last nights game and look forward to a 4-0 thrashing of Nottm Forest.
One obvious reason why Spanish Dave is struggling this season. He obviously flourishes in teams that play decent possession football.
We were promised that Oscar would continue the style of play we developed under Poyet. Can't see any sign of that so far.
I do wonder how all the Poyet haters will feel when we finish nearer to 14th this season than 4th. And we still haven't been told WHY he was sacked. Was it really something that couldn't have been resolved by banging some heads together? Could be a defining moment in the history of the club - and not a good one.
Will we really have to watch the kind of rubbish served up last night and on Saturday every week? We used to pass teams off the park, not any more. Last season proved that you don't have to play ugly to do well in this division. Maybe we were spoiled - but can't help feeling we won't see a Brighton side play with that much style and flair again for a long time.
What a ridiculous comment. Spanish Dave's missed passes are down to him and not because we don't play 'decent possession football'.
The bit i can't quite get, and please someone explain this to me:
Poyet has gone, he's not coming back. So why are we still living in the past?
