All our players will have to be giants to play in his team, no thanks !!

The only good thing about this would be that we'd be able to thrash Poyet's new team should we ever play them

This post is nearly as bad as when people were shouting out for Gary Megson in March. (And yes I bit at that one too)

I assume they are looking for a change in style of play.
Roberto Di Mateo is favourite with Gus at 15/2.
The worry for us is the length of time this disciplinary process may take.
Are we going to miss out on one of our targets?

Gus to Stoke would make sense:
Timings - it's been an open secret for a few weeks that Pullis was going to leave - as it has apparently with Gus
Stoke fans want a change of style
They're an established mid-tier Premier League club - realistically the next achievable step up the ladder for Gus

As I said, seems to add up. Anyone know the odds?

Perfect job for Gus, in my opinion. Yes they need a change of style, but many of their key players are past their best anyway. Therefore I would think the board are open to buying in a few players in line with the new manager's style. On top of this, if Gus can teach El Abd to play tippy-tappy football, surely he can turn Stoke into Staffordshire's answer to Barca.

Yep I think this is nailed on as the job for Gus. Lets hope so and we can take the money and move on.

Big Sam will get the job at Stoke to replace Pulis. Will feel more appreciated than at West Ham and Paolo Di Canio to take over at Upton Park after he's fallen out with most of his Sunderland players this week.

Someone posted on here last week that he knew the youth teams at Stoke are all being schooled in proper passing football and that Poolips was on his way out...

Whoever it was, I doff my cap to you - some reliable inside info on NSC for once!

Stoke, in the oddest way, strikes me as having Gus nailed on for it - fans and owner want to evolve from hoof ball and they have some semi decent footballers who can pass if allowed to pass - and they clearly don't mind spending a few quid - £15-20 million and Gus could easily get Stoke to mid table playing decent football without kicking lumps out of the opposition.......well worth a bet this one!

And here it is:

My friend,s son plays for the DS squad for Stoke & they get told off for any long ball stuff, they are looking for a Gus style manager so I wouldn't,t be surprised if Pullis goes this summer. My feelings are we need to Win play offs to keep Gus, not sue if he would enjoy the midlands though.

Nice one Graymac!
