To return to the club, who would it be?

(They can't be retired)

Mine would be Elliott Bennett, his vision and his ability to create something out of nothing was a beauty to watch. Not to forget him hitting the back of the net from 30 yards a lot!

Our strikers would benefit so much from his play making.

That was in League One. Lua Lua also tore up League One. Not saying Bennett wouldn't be good, but I don't think a creative midfielder is what we're missing.

I would've said Glenn Murray, no question, but now we have Ulloa I'm not so sure.

Craig Noone. He knows what it's like to be playing well for a team that can stay at the top of the championship when it gets there.

Surely the only conceivable options, are Zamora, Bennett, Murray and Barry?

Not anymore he doesn't.

Bench

He's played a whopping 23 minutes of their 5 matches in 2013.

Cue the Glenn Murray and Bobby Zamora posts...

True - though it'll be interesting to see which of the two names comes up more often. For all that GM is in the form of his life this season, I'd put Bobby in a different class altogether.

But based on what the squad currently needs, I'd go along with the Gareth Barry suggestion. Failing that, if we're allowed loanees, Sidwell.

So does Hammond. And Crofts. And probably Orlandi.
