Inflation predicted to be 2.7% - 3% next year.

Anybody expecting a bonus or pay rise to keep track with the cost of living, or are you resigned to more belt-tightening in 2013?

Will find out in 2 weeks. Might get one, but probably not both. The exams industry, in which I work, will probably be hit next year by changes to which qualifications carry School performance points.

The most curious thing..
Not had a pay rise for three years. Lucky to be in a job in this climate these days.

Not had a pay rise in 3 years+, not even cost of living adjustment, so effectively, had a pay cut each year. Fact of life for the majority of us, unless you have trade union representation, or public sector gold plated contracts. No point getting fed up, it won't change anything, it would be nice to get an Xmas bonus, but again, not seen one for some years now.

I work for the NHS : the only reward i expect is the gratitude from my grateful patients. :(

I work for the NHS, the only thing I expect is to pay at least another 1% of my salary into my pension on top of the 1.5% extra I have paid since April. Rumours of a 1% payrise though, which is nice after nothing for 2 years.

Our H2 bonus comes through in February pay and any pay rises are from 01st April.

Last year I got a pay rise but everyones was deferred to 01st July.

Who knows however I will already take a pay cut next year as child allowance stops.............

Our bonus system has been reactivated after a three year freeze but there are no across the board payrises - you need to argue your case the old fashioned way.

Never get a bonus for Christmas, but going for 5% will probably have to take a 0.5%-1% but that's better than a kick up the r's...like others have said, consider myself lucky to have a job.

I'm just counting down the 52 months and 2 weeks before I can retire with my GOLD PLATED ! pension
