Plumpton college. The pitch was also used for learning to drive tractors so you can guess the state of it. It didn't help that it was flooded.

Wealden FC over Uckfield way.

Changing rooms were on stilts, pitch was literally ankle deep mud in places and it stuck to your boots making running impossible.

This was 20 odd years ago now, I hope they have improved it.

Chailey recreation ground. Not a blade of grass in sight. Pissing it down. Ankle deep in mud too!

Referee said it was playable which was a farce! What's worse was I was 13 and in goal! Saved a penalty ad there's a picture of me after the game head-to-toe in mud in a yellow jersey!

Won 5-1 though!

i'm gonna plump for plumpton as well, but the rugby club. pitch was in the middle of the racecourse and one of my team actually broke his ankle cause he ran into a divot and got his foot stuck.

Went to Ghana last year to do some charity work and played the village Under 17's on a full size pitch. Not a blade of grass, covered in rocks with a dry river bed running from the half way line across to the far corner flag. No line marking just a line stones running for the outer lines but no penalty area.

The goal posts where erected from old bits of scaffolding boards and the nets old fishing nets with holes.

Drew 1 all our goal was a penalty and we could find the penalty spot so took it from about 5 yards.

Would probably have to be my ex girlfriends pitch. She never shaved and was a bit like a forest.

2nd team pitch @ Tower Rec in Heathfield. Mud up to your ankles through most of the year and the changing room was an old caravan beside the pitch. I finished most games with cramp and a groin strain. Happy days!

we played against Ockley Acorns cup semi-Final around 5 years ago it was week before christmas and it was raining that week and the pitch was like the warsaw pitch lastnight, standing water across the pitch we were the only game to play in sussex that weekend, and the only reason they played it is because that was the only way they could beat us........ we won 2-1.

Played on some right mares the 2 pitches up hollingbury road that sloped down toward the sea were mental if you were not 4 nil up by half time kicking down hill you just knew it was game over , but the most dangerous ive played on was the maidenbower pitches soon after they were built after a bit of rain the grass would churn up small razor sharp flint stones that just loved the sliding tackle , i would of thought this has been sorted out by now but whenever we had a match there i developed ile run the lineitus .

Civo Stadium, Malawi - half of the pitch was under water as the ground staff left the sprinklers on all night and there were massive bare patches on it, rest of it was cinders, but fun all the less!

WSU, just below the seagull.
Before Health & Safety came into force, I played on a pitch at Greeleas, probably 80 or 81 that was frozen solid. Most of us back then had screw in studded boots, made for an interesting game!

Here's an NSCer complete with Albion hat playing in goal on a pitch that was on the edge of Copenhagen docks in February or March a few years back. The sea was partly frozen and if you fell in then you'd probably last seconds.
