Would you be in favour of a supporter representative on the Board?

Obviously they wouldn't sit in on regular business / confidential club matters etc, but rather would be invited to participate in a specific agenda item entitled "Current supporter issues" or whatever.

Any value in these sorts of initiatives, or are they just fan-friendly gimmicks that promise much but ultimately go nowhere meaningful? I'm undecided. The right person, with a well-rounded view of all sides of the debate could probably add some value to both sides - the fans and the executives. But then the risk is that they simple end up becoming a bit of a lick spittle...

To avoid that happening, my vote would be in the Ernest CAMP. Where would you put your "x" ?

After what we went through in the 90s, paradoxically I said no. As the club is at present, "the fans" have nothing to offer and many talk bollox anyway. In the future, perhaps the Spanish socio model might work at the Albion.

No, no, no. What on earth good would it do? NSC acts as an unofficial conduit of fans' opinions (if nothing else because of the 'Ask the club' forum), plus there's also the comments in the Argus (even if most of them are crap) and even people emailing the club directly. All this is far more organic and far better than some official representative of an official fans' organisation officially presenting the fans' official views. It's the sort of thing that the Venkeys might try at Blackburn to prove that the fans are involved whereas in reality the other board members would just listen politely, and then do what they want to do anyway. They can out-vote the supporters' rep after all.

Besides, we've already got supporters on our board.

No. It might be good to have someone to represent what's important to fans, but nobody could speak for everyone else, and any company worth it's salt should already know what it has to do and what its' customers want.

why have a fans rep?

It seems any time someone wants things improved at our football club they get accused as a closet palace fan,then get" do you want to go back to withdean" or "go and watch crawley"
It seems everyone wants to have poyet or vincente babies.
Not sure we need a fan on the board just some balls on this one occasionally
The club is changing day by day and we need to be prepared to input with certain aspects or just accept that we could go down the rip off route and lose fans in the process

Nor should he need to. The Blooms will ensure that decisions are taken in the best interests of the club. Largely, though not universally, that will mean they will also be in the best interests of the fans.
