"what can only be described as the inside of a B&Q, gutted, with exactly half as many seats as there needs to be - minimum - on three sides of the ground is not Football."

At least they acknowledge the fact that we need a much bigger stadium than they do.

this comment is pretty spot on though...

"What a cringeworthy, deluded and incestuous main message board Brighton have.
No wonder Palace treat them with contempt."
1768 posts and just come to that conclusion? took a while then.

'I would actually pack football in all together if I had to call the Amex home and go there every other week.

That Park and Ride, nothing around the ground, and what can only be described as the inside of a B&Q, gutted, with exactly half as many seats as there needs to be - minimum - on three sides of the ground is not Football.

I felt for the Albion fans when they lost Goldstone. I feel for them a lot fooking more now they have fooking Falmer

Like Reading, will probably not be bothering with that ground again...'

there is so much irony in that last sentence. yes you probaly won't visit again, ever again.

Are we really bothered what they think? I would have been more surprised if they complemented the Amex.

It's our ground. WE like it. That's all that matters.

It's like owning a Ford Capri and then walking into an Aston Martin garage only to complain the cars have no style

I would much rather have the Amex than their run down, graffiti ridden, piss odoured allotment shed.

Let them bitch lets face it they will be visiting a lot worse than the Amex in the future

They will also be visiting a lot of grounds way better than Fratton-there are some decent grounds in non- league football these days. Let's hope they enjoy grounds with 'soul' like Southwick, Worthing and Petersfield

I dont care what they think, but compared to the standards of stadiums playing in when they do bust, they will be wishing they played at the Amex a lot more.

Some Pompey Berk said:
21st century football. Middle class fans, boys & girlfriends holding hands, wearing tops and waving flags. Nice menus in the bars and restaurants. Celebrity fans in or near the director's box. Polite applause. Nice music. Don't ya just love it?

What is this I don't even...?

I read that crap last night. As mentioned, there's usually a pattern to the whinging about the AMEX from away supporters - ie, when they've lost. Pompey have always had some of the thickest fans in the League, but they've really excelled in their pre & post match stupidity.

I loved the thread where one idiot suggested we'd won League One by overspending last season & it was vital we had Championship football at The AMEX, otherwise we would be in financial shit?! Quality. When the aforementioned idiot was corrected on the forum, his response was "f*** off you gayboy c**t". plus other equally reasoned responses. Nice?!

Who's up for their 'Fans United Day' then?

Screw pompey and their meathead fans. I was at fratton park at the beginning of the season and they acted like pricks when our lot were leaving the ground. They kicked off when they were here yesterday. Let them rot in that hole and whine on their rubbish website about our ground. Pay up Pompey, Pompey pay up!!

Just about proves their point doesn't it? ???

You have too many kids on here spouting off.

I'd say that after some of the bile being spouted by 'your lot' on a couple of PFC forums that you are in no position to come on here accusing us of having too many children spouting off. Some of the crap Portsmouth 'fans' are spewing out on your forums goes a long way to explaining why Southampton fans treat you with so much contempt.

They guy who said there is no burger vans yet got the bus home there for walking past the van by the station?

Meh some will like it some won't but yes usually loosing teams who dislike it and the teams who win do like it. Not fussed tbh

All that matters is those who go every week and I for one LOVE IT I get so excited on match days it's great. Had one of those Chicken and Gammon pies after wow, Usually stick to the meaty tasty beef and harveys pie but not anymore mmmmmm.
