Streamed Palace vs Wigan last night.. How good was Glenn Murray last night? He looked awesome. Going to be interesting seeing him in a Palace shirt at Amex, Palace scum now but he is different class! Wish he was still at Brighton.

Good buy for them especially on a free, but I'd still prefer CMS. And his attitude is appalling at times, so we'll see...

I don't think anyone ever suggested Murray was a bad player. And he was struggling with injuries in his first couple of years here. But he wouldn't get in the team now so it was probably a good move for him, so good luck to him.

But I'm still going to BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO him on the 27th though, as everyone should.

I dont. He was a good player but all good things come to an end. Murray or CMS and Hoskins? No Brainer. CMS has ran around more this season than Murray has in his whole career.

Agree he's a class player but you have to bear in mind last night he was playing Wigan's Under 18's 3rd team in a match they really couldn't give a shite about.

Wigan had at least half of their 1st team out last night so you can't use that excuse! It was because Palace played so well which made Wigan look poor and we stopped them from causing any threat they may have been.

Murray's performance was as good as what people are saying, he was truly outstanding, it was a performance you would want to see from any of your strikers, he done everything and beyond and showed his true class, he truly deserved a goal last night for his efforts hitting the bar and post with chances, he is an outstanding player and i know you will continue to have the debate saying you prefer CMS but i still believe it was a top class signing by Freedman to get him.

The only sour note was right at the end of the match he did fall awkwardly and seemed to be in a bit of discomfort, he did walk off ok so hopefully nothing to serious but there have been some scaremongerers on our site saying he is out for 3 months which i think is untrue, Dougie made no mention of it in the post match press conference despite talking about Murray at length in it. He clearly did take a knock but would imagine they were waiting untill this morning to assess if there was any damage done.
im sure you all want to see Murray play at the Amex just as much as the Palace fans do!

I would suggest he would, he has been totally outstanding for us. He offers more than Barnes or Hoskins ever could IMO.

Dougie is certainly happy!

Just far enough away from LDC
Yes he'll score against us on 27th, yes he has the ability to be a good chamionship striker on his day, yes he does seem to have the ability to motivate himself for the certain games and yes Gus did get the best out of him last season and I'm sure Freedman will get good performances out of him for a number of times this season.

However - I can honestly say I prefer having CMS in the team. I know he cost us money and arguably Murray was a free. I know we're probably paying CMS what Murray wanted BUT I think he was a cracking bit of business and the signing of him has given more of a statement out to the football world than persuading Glenn to sign for 2 more years ever could have done.
