Hope Donny get their full allocation and sell it out.
One of the few clubs I've got loads of respect for, and their fans have been so supportive of us during all the turmoil. They deserve it as a huge "thankyou from us".

We want a love-in!!!!!

I think that the Donny fans deserve to get the full away allocation. They have been so supportive of us in our battle. You are a fantastic set of supporters, and I welcome everyone of you with open arms.

Hope it wont spoil that mutual respect if we managed a win.

Actually, Brighton is a unitary authority therefore no longer in East Sussex.................A bit geeky I know.
That's as ridiculous as claiming that Doncaster isn't still part of the People's Republic of South Yorkshire.

The Lord Lieutenant of East Sussex still represents HM the Q in Brighton & Hove. The fact that ESCC no longer checks the size of pies on sale in the city is neither here nor there.

Give them the whole lot, the more of them, the bigger the love in

Really hope they get the extra allocation and sell it out, would certainly add to the occasion having 2000+ Donny

1. Its an AWAY end - Just as a general point every club in the league should be forced to let the away team try and sell out a stand first.
2. Any away fan who came to the withdean is a hero, any who came more than once are legends, they should be given a free ticket, a run at 1901s prawn sandwiches and do a lap of honour around the ground.

We will give them the tickets if they want them. We are probably just waiting for Donny to confirm they are willing to pay for the whole lot.

Has to be the whole end for Donny. Even if they don't sell all of them, it will be no different from a revenue point of view as we lose seats with the segregation

We could have offered to pay for all of the Doncaster support's travel costs, laid on 50 coaches....it's only money..but what a gesture that would have been.

Edit: that's why i will never be a millionaire, but a rich sugar daddy instead(if i won the Lotto).

That would have been a nice touch, I know that the fella organising our coaches is having a mare. Many have pre-booked both seats on the coaches, alternative travel plans and accomodation.
This situation is beyond stupid and reflects poorly on both parties for what should be a BIG party for both sets of supporters.
Why someone ever thought we would sell less than a 1000 for your opening has to be mad, seaside, summer , first game, history between the 2 sets of supporters all these points appear to have been ignored and under-estimated by either/both clubs.
I know there are many very angry supporters out there. :(

It is an away end first and foremost. If Donny have already sold 1,300 and have 800 on a waiting list, with the chance of more to come, this should have been decided last week. In my view, anyone with over 2,000 should get the whole end, no further questions asked. Only if it is less than about 1,300-1,500 should the whole extra home tickets scenario come into play.

There is a limit to how much you can piss other fans about, if this had been the other way around people would have been howling on here. Unneccesary.

They wonder why attendances in general are down TG, clubs seem to got of their way to piss their customers off what with daft policemen, overpriced tickets, food and beverages along with the ever-present over zealous stewarding.
All the latter problems serve only to cause the former problem. It's high time that all clubs had a proper fans charter to get the game back on track. Many are leaving the game in droves for many other reasons than the purely financial reasons usually courted as the only reason........ffs give us ALL our game back.:angry::angry:

I understand what Brighton are trying to do, and these are exceptional circumstances for this first league game. Despite the 20,000 home fans already coming, more would like to. But you have to draw the line somewhere.

BTW I was at Doncaster in 1997-98? when we helped you with your demo on the dugout roof. Quality. Not the football, that was shite from both of us. Even though we won 3-0...

However don't expect an easy game , we are looking in 'tip top' form , have kept our best players and brought in some very sharp cookies from what we've seen in pre-season.

I do hope you're not going to present these sharp cookies to Gus & the team for their pre-match cuppa, intending to inflict some awful mouth & throat injuries. THAT would be very unsporting
