Accepting a reduced allocation or not ? Going in the home end or not ? Boycott or not to boycott ?

I can see FCUM having to form a breakaway club pretty soon.

and so on and so on...........

Hi , new to the forum but just thought I would join to be involved in the debate you are having over here. I come in peace.
Firstly I’ve got to say my views are my views only, they represent only my views and should not be mistaken for FC United or the fans of FC United as a whole.
There are some posters on this forum who need to realise any posts on such forums are unrepresentative of anyone other than that individual. To tar a group because of a few posts on any forum is wrong, there have been many comments posted within this very topic( which I could quote) suggesting there are certain people who have preconceived thoughts about us or even a team some of us once went to see. I think some of these preconceived thoughts seem to be getting in the way but I’m not going to change that.
Some have asked questions about FC United and FC fans have decided to answer some of these questions only to be ridiculed, again I think there are other things getting in the way and judging by the response the questions were not of genuine interest, but simply an opportunity to have a further dig. However I don’t think they are representative of the Brighton support.
If you really want to know why I gave up OT, PM and I’ll let you know, but it is only my reason. I know of many different personal reasons why different people gave up.
Regarding FC’s ticket allocation, I’m fortunate I may get one being a member and season ticket holder, however my 10 year old son who is only a season ticket holder, will miss out. This is a shame for a number of reasons. (I might go into this later as these are the real people who are getting affected by this) Many on here have said it is based on Police advice from an insider. Could someone point me in the direction or even post number of the insider so I can PM him/her I am genuinely interested as to what has been said? I don’t understand how this particular number has been arrived at. Nor can I understand the reasons behind it, some of our own home games do not have any Police in attendance and we have a very good relationship with them.
Sorry if this is a little long winded, but had a lot to reply too and some more. No matter what happens next Saturday I’m sure I will have a great day out and might even share a pint with one or two of you lot, should you care to look the devil in the eyes. We really aren’t all that bad you know.
Have a good game.

Welcome. We have a contact in the club called, oddly, The Insider but someone has already asked the question:

Away allocation for FCUM match

Hello.

I don't know where all this animosity has come from, our beef is with whoever it was at your club who decided to restrict our allocation not with you the fans.

We were all looking forward to a good day out and a game of football.

As to whether we would have sold out, we could have sold 3 times that amount, this is the biggest game in our short history. Every one wants to be there.

according to our official site there is no possibility of an increase in the amount of tickets no matter how many we sell

The talk of a boycott was started by a few, who were disappointed at the allocation, a knee jerk reaction.

In my man bag, you'll find green and gold condoms.

They always remind me of what big pricks you are. x

If you made that up then well done, its pretty funny.

My argument to you sir is condoms can also be made for small pricks(no i wouldn't know from experience, just to cut off a joke right there):lolol:, so if the ones in your bag are indeed for small pricks then we arent all that bad according to you:thumbsup:

(good joke tho fair play)

D'oh! How to attract the interest of Mr Plod.

If there were a few dozen FCUM fans hanging around outside the ground...seriously, what would the police do? Turn them all away? Arrest them all? Get out the riot gear? Or have a word with the groundstaff and do the decent thing letting them in, citing "special circumstances"?

Of course I made it up, just like you did with your new club.

fcum / kazfcum,
why do your forums mods ban away supporters so readily.
Seems a bit tinpot to me,

Let them in to which bit of the ground?? Nah... the sort of knuckleheads that would turn up without a ticket after all this publicity would be escorted away from the ground, no messing.

I'm not a Mod so I can't fully speak for it. But, if the poster had broken one of forum rules and is deserving to be banned then that is most likely reason. Many so-called "fc fans" have been banned I'm sure as well as away fans over the years.

If they are being banned simply as an away fan then tah would be bang out of order. I have no idea if that is the case or not tho.

If it's any comfort, our Manager was quoted as saying as far as he's concerned you can have 4,000 tickets.

Too many people on here have very short memories of the bitching that goes on when we have 'big' games such as Villa last season. If we'd only been given 3,000 seats instead of the 6,500 we got, this place would have been in total uproar.

Have a good visit but there is NO chance of POTG

Cheers NS, I feel it would have been a very similar situation (on a slightly smaller sclae) as to what could have happened last year at Villa.

I see Poyet is the man we need to speak with then:thumbsup:

Also, hope you enjoy the day, good luck with Bristol on satdee

are we still giving these people our attention - page 28 of nonsense because some tinpot outfit have been given 400 odd tickets less than woking.

seriously, the fc united game is the LEAST important match we'll play all season. it's there cup final, it's a bit like a pre-season friendly for us.

boycott, don't boycott, get a ticket in the home end, away end, whatever. who cares.

It seems we are not that interested in progressing in the fa cup and its the manc's day after all.Problem is we will certainly have a demand ourselves so very limited what we can give the mancs and the withdean makes it all that harder.
