I suspect Khan will win fairly comfortably on points.

Some of his comments (which even his own father has said publicly that he disagrees with) maye have upset a few recently, so I'll be intrigued to know what reaction he gets.

Word on the street has it that his new trainer has sharpened him up considerably.

Fingers crossed that Khan gets flattened and the wheels come off the farce that is trying to convince us he is world class. Wheeling in Barrera when he was years passed his best convinced nobody. In his prime Barrera would have barely broken sweat.

Only slightly less irritating than the circus that was Fraudly Harrison:censored:

Boxing has been in the doldrums for far too long. Too many orgs and too many faceless champs and a piss poor heavyweight scene. Just maybe our own David Haye and the proposed fight between the 'Pac Man' and Fairweather can turn round boxings fortunes.

Nothing will give me greater pleasure than to see Khan beaten and exposed for what he is..........an overated cherry picked champion. I think the Barrera contest should have been stopped as soon as the injury to his eye and declared no contest but because it didnt suit the promoters of Khan it was allowed to continue so that he could claim an unlikely win.

Khan is not over-rated. He was, but Freddie Roach has turned him into a great fighter.

I love Amir:love:

'World' Champion he may be, but if he ever fights a real world class fighter at their peak - Pacquiao, for example - he'll get utterly destroyed in less time than it's taken me to write this post.

He probably wouldnt but there is no denying that Khan is an arrogant obnoxious arsehole or appears to be on all of his TV in the run up to and after a fight. It is this that makes people want to see a lttle Mexican or Peurto Rican slaughter him.

Roach is legend, aside from his work with boxers he's becoming huge with the top UFC fighters looking to improve their striking game.

However, in Khan's case you can't make a silk purse out of sows ear. Poor defence, suspect chin and and an over hyped cherry picked career so far. And as for claiming that racism (his quote today!) has prevented him getting the proper recognition:shootself

Frutos - You seem to know your boxing...

How good is Salita? He is undefeated, a very good age for a fight, so will he be a tough test of Amir today?

He has a good record in terms of pure statistics, but a closer look shows no-one of any serious class on it.

He's young enough to still have plenty of ambition, but I see him pretty much in the mould of Andreas Kotelnik, who Khan beat to win this Title - solid enough to probably go a few rounds, if not the distance, but never really look like winning.

Khan's promoters, in all liklihood, have picked him as a safe option for the first defence. I don't think we'll learn anything new about Khan tonight.

If he was considered to be a threat his management team wouldnt have hand picked him for his first defence. I think the first defence should be a mandatory defence with the highest ranked challenger as defined by the boxing governing body.
