I forgot to put this on here but I would just like to say what a lovely bloke Jim McNulty is and what a top bloke his dad Norman is.

Some of you may remember someone posting on here at the end of last season asking if anyone wanting Jimmy's shirt from last season.

Well, I rang up left a message asking for one for my dad.

Norman Mc rang back later that day and said he would be delighted to let him have one.

He then contacted me throughout the summer to arrange where to meet etc and, sure enough, come 1.30pm on the day of the Walsall game, I met Norman who handed over Jimmy's home shirt from last season. Norman rang Jimmy and got him to come out and give the shirt to my dad and I have to say the McNulty's were one of the nicest families you could wish to meet.

Not only did Jimmy sign the top, pose for a photo etc but he stayed for a chat about how he was doing etc.

His dad then said he drives to EVERY Brighton game whether Jimmy is playing or not, all the way from Liverpool.

Jimmy said he was disappointed not to be in the squad for the Walsall game and was confident he would be back sooner or later.

When I texted them later saying 'thanks again', I got the reply that it was an honour to give his top to a fan and that the smile on my old man's face was thanks enough.

In an era when players get a lot of stick for being out of touch with fans, I just thought it was worth posting this.

Jimmy McNulty. Legend in the making.

He is going to be a true legend and I hope we can keep hold of him for years to come, although I think this depends on the rest of the squad putting as much effort as him...

Somebody else posted something very similar not so long ago, perhaps Mr Murray could do with some lessons. Sounds like an excellent bloke though.

And Murray can't even be Arsed to clap some fans :jester:

Maybe he could live up north though and travel down everyday for training/matches and then travel back up after. Could keep his wife/other half happy.

With all the MOANING about Murray, that story left a smile on my face and a song in my heart.

Jim and his Dad

there is not one MOAN in that post, can the mods please find who hacked into Walts account???

Seriously, i love the guy for his playing abilities alone, but that just makes him even better! Seems like he wants to be here, and is on his way back. Although it is bad for Jake Wright, I cannot wait to see Jimmy Mac coming back!

Father McNulty deserves a lot of praise too

Yep, we went down to the club shop a couple of weeks ago, and my 11 year old lad wanted the new away shirt, and there was no doubt whose name and number he wanted on it, supermac 3.

Going to be a great asset for us, and clearly a great bloke.

Just imagine having a dinner party with Jim McNulty, his Dad, Natterjack, and aging Sheffield United midfielder Gary Speed all invited along. And I could do my corn on the cobs for starters.

*dream*

McNulty is class through and through, and as I mentioned somewhere else, McNulty 3 will be donning the back of my pink shirt at some point. Top bloke.

That should of course have read 'bellend'.

That last post reminds me of a 'Drink Aware' campaign at my university.

The last thing I remember was going for a .......... and I woke up with a ......... across my face.

The two options being 'slash' and 'kebab'.

Yet to see McNulty play for Brighton, but I am very much looking forward to it.

Jim McNulty deserves every bit of luck going after his very unfortunate injury, hope he is soon fit enough to regain his place in the team.
