Havertz helps in limiting motion and ideas
I love watching Havertz. His touch and technique is sublime, but if you don’t surround him with people willing to do the extra running, passing and nitty gritty, you’re f*cked.

there’s a reason Tuchel played him up front for Chelsea.

Haven’t seen it but would put money on trossard being in the box and not being able to finish.

Raul Jiménez looking an absolute snip at 5m
Was thinking just before he scored how he’s lost it since head injury… changed my mind though 🤣

Arteta couldn't even blame the ref today.

It was literally the first time I can recall that he didn’t blame the officials or injuries.

He’s running the same 11 into the ground, again. Arteta, Moyes, Dyche and Emery may a price for that as the season unfolds. [Subject to getting around it with a big January spend].

Not sure Arsenal have much FFP wiggle room without selling?

Arteta (and Southgate) had plenty of chances to rest Saka/Rice etc earlier in the season

Squad costs. How the hell did they get in this company, when rarely earning CL money?

As I said on a thread recently, on their day any PL team can beat any other PL team. The amount of 'shock' results means none of them are remotely shocking to me.

The reason is clear.

It's a funny old game.

Do you have a link to where those figures come from? It does look extraordinary that the squad value is so low if that is the total market value of the squad so I’m wondering if it does not take into consideration monies agreed but not paid out yet under long transfer contracts and also factors in the lower value of players on contracts that are running down and yet to be renewed?

Their net expenditure in the summer was only second to Chelsea
Their club market value is only second to Manchester City

So clearly they have the wealth to be competing at that level.

This is the link for that report.

In answer to your question, fees recorded are the total contractually committed. Add-ons aren’t included until if and when those milestones are reached.
