Anyone reached out and asked the lad? I don’t have Instantbook or anything myself, but footballers do sometimes respond.

Are people aware football players do have lives outside of football? Could be literally anything, personal life, family issues, pets etc
Most also have private instagram accounts for boring stuff like that

I admire your optimism but think you're kidding yourself if you think this is anything but injury related sadly.
Optimism? Depends what you mean, literally nobody knows what he’s referring to, he’s a young lad there’s plenty of reasons it could be.

He’s probably doing light gym work, he won’t be running or anything yet so it’s hard to imagine how he could have had a serious injury setback this late in his recovery.

This. Sure it could be an injury, but it is also literally just "😞". He may have been sacked as Libertad manager on FM24, lost a game of Call of Duty, or failed to get a reservation for his favourite restaurant. The sureness that this is about his injury is wild.

I heard it's because my 17-year-old daughter had to block Carlos Baleba on Instagram because he kept bugging her.

It literally isn’t the emoji you’ve used, with the turned-down mouth. He could just be asleep.

Blatantly just spent £9k on FIFA FUT pack things until he got himself, and is really disappointed with the stats.

There is no possibility it’s anything else
