Not really a brave decision ! Marseille is a 2 hour drive from nice. So in a logical world even if the flight was delayed 2 hours you would still arrive with plenty of time
My experience of waiting for hire cars overseas has not always been great, plus having to hope for no traffic issues and finding somewhere to park in Marseille and get to the ticket collection. For me it's a brave decision but sure it will work out for all those that have done it.

Are the club going to sell commemorative blue and white hard hats? I think it would be rather cool and we could all look like the Village People.
Stab vests would be ideal as well

Per other thread as well. Ticket collection closes 3 hours before game which is ridiculous. Many of us will be running about last minute.

I guess if there is a plane delayed there is this fan hotline so we would have to report it there?
Must admit I’m so lacking trust in public transport that I’d never book to arrive the same day for something like this, though I appreciate that not everyone has that choice. Good luck! At least the EasyJet delays tend to be later in the evening rather than morning.

The ticket collection arrangements are the fly-in the ointment.. I guess any away trip has a level of jeopardy from travel disruption, but to close 3 hours before was stricter than I thought it might be and the cost/annual leave of additional nights etc. if no ticket forthcoming wasn't appealing.. hopefully 3 hours is a headline to encourage as early as possible - they can't pull the shutters down if there's a queue can they?

"Those with on sale windows on Friday 15 September are guaranteed a ticket, on all following dates tickets are subject to availability."

So, who has Friday, or before, and who is after?
I've got a Friday window.

Super excited and shitting myself having read the club information. 😁

The 3 hour warning to me seems more of a ploy to get everyone into the designated area. If they said tickets needed to be collected up to an hour before kick off people would be more inclined to have a wander in other parts of the city.

It may be related to the transport to the stadium.

To bus c3,000 (or more) people between two points in a busy city - given everyone else heading to the stadium - will take some time given loading and unloading times, unless they have a huge number of buses.

If it looks like absolute chaos I won't be hanging about again waiting 2 hours for a bus. Uber it will be.
