I liked Sanchez.

What a shame it’s ended like this. Can’t see us getting much for him. Are we sure we can’t train those mistakes out of him and get him to fight to be a number 1 again. Notwithstanding that I think Steele is fabulous and we’ve signed a back up keeper.
I think its his character. He is just a laid back dude.

He gives the impression of a drugged up hippie, which doesn’t give you much confidence, especially when he makes the odd careless mistake. Shame - with a better attitude he might have got his place back and improved his international prospects.
As it is he is looking down the food chain at Chelsea.

The ruthless types tend to be the best managers, we finished top six so far RDZ has made the right calls you can’t argue with that.
I remember after the Palace away game RDZ said he had sleepless nights over the goal keeper situation and decided to go with JS. Nothing wrong with that apart from it appears Sanchez couldn’t except the decision.
No way he ever gets back from what I've been told.

The sleepless nights quote had nothing to do with Sanchez or the Palace game. Plus RDZ publicly backed Sanchez following the Palace game, he started the next game against Fulham.

Sanchez accepted the decision to be dropped originally and remained on the bench, then came back in for the Chelsea away game as Steele was injured and the Man Utd cup semi-final. Steele returned after that and the wheels came off for Sanchez after the Everton game when he asked not to be selected for the Arsenal game away from home, clearly he felt he should have been coming back in after the Everton result/performance.

The sleepless nights comments actually came after the Wolves win and saying he was going to have sleepless nights picking the team to play Man Utd in the league later that week.

Big Bob is a good keeper but anyone who doesn't want to play/refuses to play/doesn't want to be on the bench or whatever, then, for me it's off with you then.
This all day long.

Now we have signed Verbruggen he is number three in the pecking order anyway, so probably wouldn't get a game, so why do we wan't to keep him, plus l'm sure he must be keen to move on and start afresh somewhere else. Hopefully this latest interest from Chelsea will bear fruit.

Bye bye Bob.

Plz don't do anymore deals with Chelsea unless it involves Caicedo.

Signed, A Chelsea fan

A deal involving Caicedo, Colwill, Sanchez, and about £90 million cash might possibly do the job. The first problem for Chelsea is that they don't want to pay Moises' value. I keep hearing Chelsea fans complain that he's not worth what Brighton want. Which is absolutely fair enough. Solution is to buy another player within your budget. The second problem for Chelsea is that we don't actually want to sell Caicedo. We've never put him up for sale. Chelsea seem to think they can confront any club and demand their players at below the valuation. Moises has a 4 year contract at Brighton. You could try again in summer 2026, when he'll have a year left.

Refused - or asked not to travel with the squad? Without being present at all the conversations that took place, and without knowing what he said or what De Zerbi said I'm not in a position to judge. It's not, after all, as if he left us without a GK on the bench - and he did play (very well) when picked.
Well, as others have said, it was widely reported why Sanchez was asked not to travel, ie he refused to sit on the bench as advised by RDZ. You seem so keen to defend Sanchez and claim not to 'judge' him yet you're quite happy to demean RDZ with you comment about 'the messiah' and suggesting he has a ruthless streak.

I'm starting to think that big Rob might by your lovechild from an imprudent night of passion on a lads weekend away in Cartagena!!!

Interesting.
Arteta did say he wants two quality keepers competing for top spot.
Indeed. Increasingly likely to be the way, for sides playing in Europe anyway. Just like us
