I hope its a really nasty game with loads of cards and injuries and an own goal by Dibley to give Leeds 3 points.

Leeds aren't going down. If there is an opportunity, its quite a small one. Even if were large, it would actually be better for Brighton's chances to lose Everton from next year's EPL than to lose Leeds. With Phillips sold and Bielsa gone, they'll be odds on to fill one of next year's places, but, in all honesty, as long as its not us, and if it can't be Palace, most of us don't care a single jot who else goes down.

Vs.

If you had lived our history, you'd be very aware that Brighton have finished ahead of Palace in the League just once in the last 40 years. On that occasion they still had the last laugh by knocking us out of the play offs. I don't care whether we have to sneak past them on alphabetical order, I want that finally put to bed.

Its not even close. If we still had him, I'd be in favour of loaning them Ben White again just for this evening.

No they didn't. In 2011/12 we finished 10 points and 7 places above them. You're going to have to reassess your NSC username, mate.

Funny how I get all these responses to wanting Palace to win and Leeds to go down when many others are saying the same thing. Did they also not "live your history?" (the one which is conveniently brought up at certain times, and in other times equally conveniently said not to matter anymore).

Of course forgot all about 2011/12. I've obviously been listening too much to their propaganda. Twice in 40 years then, because we also finisheda place above them the following year before the play off disaster

No offence intended, I was just indicating that you haven't been living, working, studying etc among Palace fans for all these years and having to take all of their 'always looking up' nonsense. Its been infuriating that we've been mismanaged and had to go to the bottom, lose the ground and campaign for decades to be allowed to build the infrastructure to get back whilst they just repeatedly wrote their debts off and then crowed in our faces about it.

You'd struggle to find a single post from me saying that history doesn't matter, even when as nwgull pointed out, I might occasionally fail to remember it correctly.:dunce:

I'm still conflicted about the Palace / Leeds game.

Many years ago me and a couple of pals went over to our mate's new gaff in Shoreham to check he'd settled in and drink cheap canned lager. There was a game on that night that featured Palace at home to a side that none of us could stand. We watched merely to accompany the lager and saw a dull 1-1 draw with the highlight being Cantona kung fu kicking a Palace fan.

Think I might tune in.

Everton - a dream for; agents, journeymen players wanting that last mega contract and coaches looking for £16m for 9 months work.

Another reason why I'd love to see them relegated. I bet they don't have relegation clauses in their player's contracts.

My MAIN reason is that next season Burnley will most likely continue to be at best mid table, and at worst, relegation candidates again, whereas Everton have the money to possibly get it right and hit the top 10. Rather keep Burnley around.

If they keep spending £100m’s over and above EPL Fair Play rules, eventually they’ll make it to the holy grail …. top 8.

I had a discussion with GPT-3 yesterday and it said that Brighton should sign Bamford if Leeds go down. It suggested Harry Kane first but I told it to get a grip.
