Gods country fortnightly
every east european country has a similar problem with neo-nazi groups. it doesnt make the nation nazi or nazi sympathetic, just as a few football thugs doesn't make the whole club or nation a group of thugs. its up to the local authorities to deal with, not a neighbouring country invade as you seem to be advocating by bring this up.

Well said, yes they exist but a minority of people. Certainly not enough to make them a threat to a neighbour

What is bothering me, is most, if not all your posts on this thread, parrot the Kremlin narrative. These groups are part of the excuse Putin is using to invade Ukraine, we know they exist, just like I am sure some Jews in 1930's Germany were criminals. I would not be highlighting that at a time when Nazis were rounding up Jews and slaughtering them. Do you see where I am coming from? It seems like you are justifying Putins invasion. The montage you had to hand of newspaper stories on Ukrainian Nazis is bothersome, it's been put together for a purpose, and you are serving that purpose by sharing it. Where did you get it from?

B-right-on I found the image on twitter, #StandWithRussia, I couldn't find it anywhere else. You can choose to side with Putin and Russia if you want, but don't pretend to be against the invasion of Ukraine, and then try to smuggle his messages in to the thread.

Not at all. Just saying that Ukraine has a long and sordid history of Nazism.

Again, I'm no Putin fanboy, far from it and agree that he should be done (along with Bush and Blair) for war crimes. Just saying there's a lot wrong with Ukraine prior to the Russian invasion.

I've got Ukrainian, Polish and Hungarian friends and have followed the political situation over three for years. Media views on Ukraine prior to the Russian invasion paints a grim picture.

You do know that one of Putin's propaganda tactics is to fund articles being published about his talking points and to then use those articles to quote back at his propaganda targets ?

This is more up to date than Putin's jpg which you posted :

I hope so much that this is true. Certainly to protect as a minimum the 10 most westerly Oblasts from Putin's genocide.

But if it happens they must not repeat the mistakes and shame of Srebrenica and stand aside.

Well, if they don't, they aren't really peacekeepers

I am not assuming the content of your posts, if I've made an assumption it is only that you are not naive.

I wonder why someone you know would send that to you?

What is your reason for posting Putin's propaganda on this thread?

Perhaps you should be asking your friend why they are disseminating Putin’s propaganda ? These people need to be challenged. Also, you should be careful how you use it and in particular it would be best to avoid slandering an entire country because of a minority of extremists.

If British Intelligence have the power to listen in to the Kremlin and know that the invasion was being planned five months ago, then I dare say they will be able to find out who is disseminating Putin's propaganda by sending it to a contact the sender knows on Northstandchat.
