the 1 foot subway melt is absolutely fantastic. + you have to take advantage of the refillable drinks and the doritos!

there are 5 to my knowledge:

north street
queen street
western road
london road
churchill square

compare this to:

4 mcdonalds
2 burger kings
3 kfc's
(those might be wrong)

so fuck yeh- they OWN brighton:clap:

I still mourn the loss of the Uncle Sam's empire. Where did it all go wrong? They could have taken over the world with that chilli sauce.

Subway is the biggest fast food empire in the USA - seems like they are catching up here too.

However, I hate the way that their customers spread their crap around Chapel Road in Worthing on a Friday and Saturday night. Makes it look like a third world country early on Saturday/ Sunday mornings. Methinks they should make more effort to clean up the place rather than the Council Tax being used to clear up after them. They do make enough profit after all....

Used to be loads more than there are now. In Brighton there was the one in London Road, & the one with the spiral staircase by the clocktower. There's still one on one of the side-streets that leads down from western Road to the beach. Not sure about the one on the 5B bus route up towards Hollingbury Asda, or the one at Burgess Hill station. The one at Chichester bus-station's gone, used to always pop in there post-Goodwood Races.

Anybody got a full listing of the surviving Uncle Sam outlets?
And who owns it? And how did they manage to fuck up a legendary chain of burger bars so badly?

Quite a few left then. Don't suppose you could have a word and get them to open one in Preston Park by any chance...

Maybe somebody (Fluffster?) could print off this thread and send it to the dozy git owner of Uncle Sam's cos he seems to accidentally have created the world's best loved burger bar chain, and doesn't even know it.

Maybe NSC could buy him out?

Have to agree more Uncle Sams would be fantastic, but it's never going to compete with McDonalds sadly, everyone knows McDonalds burgers are awful but families will still go there because the kids want a happy meal and the parents will buy there jus out of convenience, and because their prices are so cheap because they buy in such bulk 'Sams can't compete. I have to say i do get pissed off when somebody comes in and asks for a McChicken Sandwich.

I thought this thread was about Subway - now it's about Uncle Sams. Not a bad chain but always preferred Grubbs - are they still about? They used to do a mean Mango Curry burger

Are you lot all COMPLETELY FUCKING MAD?

Subway is Devil's Spunk. Tastes shite, looks shite - is shite. And as for the smug, self-important little wankers behind the counter - Jeez. Fuck, I don't those little bastards handling my lunch. Blow them to smithereens. What is it about the Americans and the plastic food, and then trying to inflict it on us? Don't encourage them. Just stop it.

Did you know you cannot buy proper cheese in America? Fucking retards. There is nothing better than a bit of Stilton with a glass of port, or some chevre blanc (goat's cheese) with a fine chilled Sauvignon Touraine. But no, we have to listen to those fucking powermongers in the good old US of A, and eat food from ICI.

Wake up, people, WAKE UP.
