[News] Should we Bring Back National Service? Sunak says YES.

Well at least pounds would be the same and who really cares about shrapnel these days when we can pay by card ? *oh no not another gimmick*

    [Albion] Kieran McKenna

Well we don't know 100% how many baskets we are shovelling eggs into... But - I broadly agree that IF we didn't do enough to keep RdZ just because we thought McKenna was in the bag.... then we really have blundered.

[News] Should we Bring Back National Service? Sunak says YES.

On thinking about it I reckon we could do with a National Service Drone Academy. Train the youth ( or anyone for that matter ) in combat drone flying skills and homemade drone production. If we can create a conveyor belt of combat drone capable citizens then it will make a massive difference...

    [Football] De Zerbi to Chelsea?

Not at all. We let him go. Why should we care what he does now ? We couldn't be bothered to retain him even though he was still under contract. It's his life.

De Zerbi. Get on the phone Barber and sort it out.

    [Albion] The Potter in/out thread

Yes but that isn't the comparison ( 9th under Potter, 11th under RDZ with Euro fixtures ). And maybe it did affect Villa and they finished with less points because of it ??? Anyway the story of Potter coming back is just made up column inches - not worth even contemplating any more

    [Albion] The Potter in/out thread

I can't believe going backwards to Potter is part of the much heralded "succession planning". I can only see it as a panic measure which means I can't see it happening at all. Time to tune out of this nonsense noise. Clearly a made up story.

Indeed - and with 8 extra Europa League games to focus on and fit into the schedule. It is remarkable it was only 2 places lower.

No pressure on him really then.

    [Politics] Russia invades Ukraine (24/02/2022)

Good to break through the half million dead Russians barrier. I wonder what the tipping point will be. 1mil?.... 2mil? .... 5mil? Keep chipping away.

"Mutual". RDZ did in fact say that there wasn't any club which could tempt him away - BUT - he had to be happy.

[Albion] Who do you want to become our new manager?

In all honesty I want Barber to be back on the phone to De Zerbi ASAP.

    [Albion] The Potter in/out thread

Why is it "precious, entitled" to not want Potter back at the club ? I don't get that at all. There simply must be a better available and appointable candidate out there. If there isn't.... then it really calls into question the ditching of RdZ.

    [Albion] Kieran McKenna

Hopefully we have already moved on and the current top target is no one yet mentioned and much closer to signing. My impression ( which may not be right ) is that we "mutually" binned off De Zerbi ( big error ) because we thought McKenna was in the bag. And then it fell apart. So with McKenna...

[Albion] Who do you want to become our new manager?

Very true. After daring to dream under RDZ we cannot go back to some dullard lecturing us not to believe in fairytales.

    [Albion] Kieran McKenna

Potter's history text books are way out of date now. There is a new one about Europa League qualification and participation so I hope he has a bigger bookcase.

I thought he already lived in the area.

[Albion] Who do you want to become our new manager?

If Bloom and Barber are so short of ideas that we have to get Potter then I despair. If we are really that far down the list then I'd rather get Rosenior... or Lallana... or Calde.... or make Pascal Player-Manager.
